Capture has to be instant or the idea is gone. So you open whatever app is closest and type. The result: ideas from five unrelated projects piled into the same page, to be sorted out some day — which means never.
Loft removes the sorting step by folding it into the capture. Choosing the project is the save action. There is nothing to tidy up afterwards, because nothing was ever in a heap.

The app opens straight to the text field, keyboard up. No home screen, no menu, nothing to choose before writing.

A row of chips sits under the text. One tap picks the project and saves: it is the same gesture.
It becomes a file
The idea turns into a dated markdown file, in a folder named after the project. In your iCloud, visible in Files.

Not a database.
Every idea is a plain, readable markdown file with its date. No proprietary format, no account, no server: your ideas are files that belong to you.
Open them in Files, edit them on your Mac, index them with whatever tool you like — or walk away without losing a thing. That is the strongest guarantee we can give you.
