A question, a bug, an idea: write to [email protected]. We answer within two working days.
For a bug, include your iPhone model, your iOS version and what you were doing just before. That is the difference between a fix this week and three rounds of messages.
Frequently asked
Where are my ideas?
They are markdown files, one per idea, in a folder per project. Open the Files app on your iPhone, then iCloud Drive → Loft. If iCloud is turned off on your device, they are under On My iPhone → Loft.
Each file starts with a three-line header holding the date and the project, then your text. Nothing else: any text editor opens them.
How do I file my ideas somewhere other than Loft's folder?
In the app's settings, pick the destination folder: your notes vault, a git repository, a shared folder. This is a Loft Pro feature. Ideas already written stay where they are; only the next ones go to the new folder.
The app says it could not write to iCloud
That message is deliberate: when Loft cannot write where it said it would, it says so instead of silently falling back to another folder. Your ideas are not lost — they are written locally.
Check that iCloud Drive is on (Settings → your name → iCloud), that Loft is allowed to use it, and that your account still has space.
Dictation will not start
It needs two permissions, which can be refused independently: the microphone and speech recognition. In Settings → Loft, check that both are granted.
Transcription runs on your iPhone: the audio never leaves the device and is never recorded. The first ten dictations are free, after that it is Loft Pro.
Siri does not write my idea down
Say “Note in Loft”: Siri asks for your idea, takes it down and files it. Name a project in the sentence to send it straight there. If Siri only opens the app, check in Settings → Loft → Siri & Search that the app is allowed.
I changed iPhone — how do I get Loft Pro back?
In the app's settings, tap “Restore a purchase”. The purchase is attached to your App Store account: there is no account and no password to create with us.
How do I cancel the monthly subscription?
Like any App Store subscription: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Loft. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current period. The one-time purchase has nothing to cancel.
What data leaves my phone?
Your ideas never do: they are files, and they stay on your device and in your own iCloud. Loft has no account, no server and no tracker. The only third-party component is RevenueCat, which reads the App Store transaction to tell whether your purchase is active — purchase history, not linked to your identity, with no tracking. The detail is in the privacy policy.
